Can you keep a Secret...?

The Victoria Secret show of 2011 was launched this montha and showed a variety of designs, incorporating a fantasy theme in most.  Many of the designs show inspiration from animals and fantasy creatures, as many of the models wore wings, and most importantly, modelled VS’s new line of lingerie.  I thought the show looked fun and showed lots of fresh ideas this year. Here are some of my favourites and their inspiration comparisons…

ALSO, I have just read that VS’s stylist is currently working on a VS collaboration with none other than H&M…(as if H&M hadn’t been busy enough as it is with collaborations!) The line is due to launch next week at it’s Selfridges concession.  I have to say I can’t wait to see this one!!

An unexpected collaboration

Designer/High-street collaborations are seem to becoming more and more popular, from Christopher Kane/Topshop to Giles Deacon/New Look to Matthew Williamson/Debenhams…

But now one of the leading designer labels in the world has teamed up with one of the most popular good-value shops on the High-street…

Versace has now launched a line with H&M.  The line was debuted today in one of New York’s H&M stores.  The designs vary from grungy leather skirts to bright, tropical looking animal print designs.

I honestly thought that the outcome of this collaboration would be a disaster as they are usually so different in style, but I’ve definitely been proven wrong! Now everyone can have a little bit of Versace in their closet!!

Tartan Heritage

As the weather has been slowly getting colder, and windier, and rainier, and frankly all round MISERABLE....I decided to dig out all my winter scarves, hats and gloves etc from last year for a bit of a clear out before the snow and sleet is upon us.  I found my woolen scarf from H&M, which may be the cosiest scarf I have ever bought!! And as today was cold, windy, rainy, and all round miserable, it was a necessity  to wear it today.

Tartan this week has been all over the catwalks.  I absolutley love tartan and it always catches my eye, especially when designers encorporate it into their designs..they always add a classy touch to the Scottish pattern.
