Two heads are better than one...

Mark-Kate and Ashley Olsen were first popped on to our screens back in 1987 in television show, Full House at the adoreable age of one...

Now they are the most talked about twins in Hollywood. Although their acting careers have been virtually non-existant in the past few years, they have made names for themselves as fashion icons and also have two fashion lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James. Due to all this success within the fashion industry, US Vogue has now branded them as 2011's best dressed siblings, fighting off the likes of Kate and Pippa Middletons who came 2nd place.

Mark Holgate, fashion news director and editor of the issue, said of the famous sisters, "They get it right a lot of the time and then sometimes they don't get it right...that's actually great because it shows that it's their hands reaching into their wardrobes. They don't have someone telling them, 'This is cool, this is hot, this is what you should be wearing.' It comes from within them. It's instinctual."

I agree 100% with this statement as sometimes I absolutley love what the olsen sisters wear, and other times I think "what on earth were they thinking?!"...which happens to us normal people, with no personal stylists or makeup artists on hand we have to turn to magasines for inspiration for our outfits too.

Vogue Best Dressed 2011

Their style is very unique and effortless. Mainly wearing chunky knitted jumpers, studded boots, leather jackets, oversized clutches and fur coats (which they have received a lot of bad press for through PETA), there is no doubt that they have created a very original style for themselves which would be hard for anyone else to pull off.

Here is Vogues recent review on the Olsen twins’ “The Row” Fall 2011 collection….

That's all for now folks!!

Ferrari jeans

I recently bought these red jeans on my uniform budget at work intending on wearing them only at work. But when I woke up this morning at 8am realising I had to leave the house in an hour for my 10am monday morning lecture at uni I couldn't really be bothered dressing and just wanted a lazy day in bed. However I got on with it and decided to wear the jeans today. They may not look it but they're so comfy I might as well have been my sweatpants to uni!!

As I still havn't received a new camera I've started using my Mum's old camera which has to be said is alot better than the dingy iPhone camera. However I either did my make up in the dark this morning and put on too much foundation or this camera just does nothing for my face. We'll see how it turns out next time...

Arrivederci,

A little bit of fun.

I just stumbled upon this picture of these cushions and felt the need to share it.
This message is very true, don't you think girls?!

Rawr

I purchased these new leopard print leggings the other day to fulfil my leopard print fetish. I had been eyeing them up for a few weeks before finally giving in to temptation. I now feel that the majority of my wardrobe is no longer sorted by colour co-ordination, but now a new section for all my animal print pieces!

I was meeting a friend for a casual Starbucks today as it's been horrible weather-wise lately. That's the reason I opted for this chunky knitted cardigan today. I've pretty much been living in this one as it's so cosy! I think I should invest in more of them in different colours for over winter before I wear this one out!!

moody pants.

My obsession with leopard prints even went as far as my halloween costume this year...

After watching many youtube videos I mastered the spots with black liquid eyeliner.

Down to every last detail. I used Barry M instant nail effects black crackle nail varnish on top of Barry M instant nail effects gold foil.

Anyway, enough about me..here are some leopard print pieces on the high street that I have been looking at recently....

'tis the season...

A friend pointed out to me yesterday that it is now only 44 days untill christmas!! Anywhere under the 50 day mark and I begin to get excited and start my own personal countdown. Along with this excitement also comes the stress. The stress of buying presents for all of my friends and family, decorating the house, and the biggest stress of all...buying all my festive party dresses!

This time of year is always the busiest. There is the work night out, the family gatherings, the countless meals out and nights on the town with friends I havn't seen for a while...not to mention the new years eve party!!

So it is needless to say I will be aquiring quite a selection of party frocks for the festive season. Now I just have to choose which ones are worth breaking my bank over...

Miss Selfridge  £40

ASOS Collection  £250

Jack Wills  £89

Miss Selfridge  £39

Lipsy  £120

Topshop  £60

I had to post a side view of the bottle green cut out Miss Selfridge dress. I have to admit this picture doesn't do it much justice, but the cut out back looks fabulous when worn. As I work for Arcadia, it is incredibly hard to resits buying everything in Miss Selfridge and Topshop whenI know I can get a great discount so perhaps I should get shopping for my party dresses there this year!

Although the ASOS Collection cream strapless dress is more a dress for me to lust over but I absolutley love it. It makes me think of Swan Lake, which in turn, for some reason, reminds my of christmas. i find this dress very fitting for the season and can imagine me wearing it and looking like a snowy fairy. Now I just have to decide if it's worth bleeding my bank balance dry!!

I don't usually shop in Jack Wills, but I happened to notice this strapless tartan dress while bored, flicking through the Jack Wills catalogue at a friends house.  It reminds me of a dress I had when I was about 4 or 5 for a friends birthday party. The dress was identical except it had thick shoulder straps, and my mum made a matching dress for my barbie doll to take top the party with me. It was such a lovely dress I might just buy this dress for nostalgia.

Much love
